Pink Stuff

Look at what we found!

Thank you (embarrassed smile) "Coles".  A box of pink decorations to use on the tree for our next Girls Night In!  Very much in keeping with our philosophy of "more is more".

One of our Christmas presents this season contained a box of goodies from which to prepare an Indian Feast.  A wonderful idea and one which have already put to good use (Aloo Ki Tikki - yum).  Anywhoo, lining the bottom of the box was this mass of pink "stuff".  Not sure what it's ultimate destiny will be but we'll make it work.

The very pink of perfection.

Pink Houses

Have you ever wanted to live in a house that you can eat?

Me too.

Have a look at what the girls made during our Pink Girl Partee last October.

“One June evening, when the orchards were pink-blossomed again, when the frogs were singing silverly sweet in the marshes about the head of the Lake of Shining Waters, and the air was full of the savor of clover fields and balsamic fir woods, Anne was sitting by her gable window. She had been studying her lessons, but it had grown too dark to see the book, so she had fallen into wide-eyed reverie, looking out past the boughs of the Snow Queen, once more bestarred with its tufts of blossom.”

Pink Tree

Well we never did get around to making a flag for the occasion.  But we did use the cloth to cover the table, adding to the overall pink effect.  We, the Pink Girls, constructed this wonderful tree and decorated it with pink Christmas baubles, which thankfully came into the shops during the month of October.

We were simultaneously bemoaning the fact that Christmas had already come to town whilst also being thankful that we could get our hands on the bling we needed to decorate our tree and table!!!

It's taken me forever to update this blog, I'm so very sorry.  Stand by for photos of our project for the night!!

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”

Pink Commemorative Flag

We moved home at the start of this year and acquired, in the process, a monster of a flagpole!!

Looks like there should be a yacht
underneath, don't you think?

So here's the plan.

Send each prospective guest, for this year's partee, a piece of pink fabric, as part of the invitation process.

We're then going to ask each guest to decorate their piece of fabric and return it in plenty of time to be sewn back together for a commemorative flag.  That's the plan.

Wish us luck!

Almost all words do have color and nothing is more pleasant than to utter a pink word and see someone's eyes light up and know it is a pink word for him or her too.
